Although economic conditions are extremely challenging across the country, the tribal gaming industry defies the odds, indicating expansion and room for growth. To maintain the lure of gaming and increase customer acquisition and retention, over half of the marketing directors responded that their budgets for this year have or will increase. Will your overall marketing budget increase, decrease, or stay the same this year?

While many tribal enterprises enjoy good relationships with outside advertising agencies, there is a growing trend to take it all in-house. Graphic design, direct mail, media buying and planning, PR and event promotions can be done on the property - with properly trained departments. Two thirds of tribal casinos have already created an in-house advertising department (in varying degrees) or would like to do so.
